Consumer Electronics stocks rise on proposal to cut customs duty on LCD, LED panels sub-19 inch to nil

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in his budget has proposed to cut customs duty on LCD and LED TV panels of below 19 inches from 10 percent to Nil.

Videocon Industries is currently trading at Rs 183.15, up by 1.70 points or 0.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 181.45 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 183.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 190.70 and Rs. 176.45 respectively. So far 301786 shares were traded on the counter.

Trend Electronics is currently trading at Rs 26.00, up by 1.20 points or 4.84% from its previous closing of Rs. 24.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 23.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 26.00 and Rs. 23.70 respectively. So far 545 shares were traded on the counter.
