Ambuja Cements reported a rise of 6.04% in December 2011 cement dispatches at 1.93 million tons compared with 1.82 million tons in December 2010. Meanwhile, productions were at 1.91 million tons from 1.78 million tons, registering an increase of 7.30%.
For January-December 2011 period, cement production and dispatches were 20.96 million tons and 20.95 million tons respectively, compared with 20.12 million tons and 20.12 million tons respectively in the corresponding period last year.
The company’s net profit for the September quarter surged by 12.75% at Rs 171.48 crore as compared to Rs 152.09 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year. Company’s total Income increased by 17.18% at Rs 1890.77 crore for the third quarter of the current fiscal from Rs 1613.56 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
