TANFAC Industries plant located at Cuddalore has suffered severely due to the recent cyclonic storm ‘THANE’ in the week hours of December 30, 2011. There were extensive damages to its plant and machinery due to which the plant is been shut down.
The company has taken adequate insurance cover and is taking necessary steps to restore plant operation at the earliest.
TANFAC Industries is engaged in the manufacture of chemicals such as aluminium fluoride, anhydrous hydrogen fluoride with generation capacity of 15,600 tpa in each. In addition to this Tanfac manufactures sulphuric acid to the tune of 14,400 tpa inclusive of oleum, and, speciality fluorides to the tune of 3,400 tpa.
