Apar Industries surges on acquiring balance 2.50% equity stake in ACLL

Apar Industries is currently trading at Rs. 342.00, up by 6.80 points or 2.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 335.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 339.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 343.40 and Rs. 321.00 respectively. So far 55602 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 343.40 on 23-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 83.00 on 06-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 343.40 and Rs. 277.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1315.69 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 62.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.40% and 25.10% respectively.

Apar Industries has purchased the balance 169,181 equity shares of the face value of Rs 10 each of the Apar ChemateK Lubricants (ACLL), a subsidiary company, representing 2.50% and the said equity shares are transferred in the name of the company on July 22, 2014. Pursuant to this, ACLL has now become wholly-owned subsidiary (100% subsidiary) of the company.

Apar Industries is engaged in the manufacturing of transformer and specialty oils along with transmission & distribution overhead conductors. It is the second largest manufacturer of power conductors in India. The company is also engaged in the manufacture of electrical and telecom cables.
