Container Corporation of India surges on receiving Navratna status

Container Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 1336.95, up by 30.95 points or 2.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 1306.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1334.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1350.75 and Rs. 1320.80 respectively. So far 3090 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1409.70 on 08-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 636.67 on 02-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1350.75 and Rs. 1288.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25463.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.80% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 32.89% and 5.31% respectively.

Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) has been granted a Navratna status by the Ministry of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, Department of Public Enterprises, Government of India vide its letter dated July 23, 2014.

CONCOR was established in 1988 and works mainly in three verticals -- cargo terminal, terminal operator and warehouse operator.
