Opto Circuits rises as its arm gets USFDA’s nod for MySence heart

Opto Circuits is currently trading at Rs 204.30, up by 1.50 points or 0.74% from its previous closing of Rs 202.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 204.45 and has touched a high and low of Rs 206.95 and Rs 201.10 respectively. So far 47998 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 310.40 on 09-May-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 183.30 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 206.95 and Rs 195.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3802.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 28.05% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.46% and 32.49% respectively. 

Medical equipment-maker Opto Circuits’ subsidiary Cardic Science Corporation has received US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) clearance for the sale of MySence heart, a revolutionary wearable Holter cardiac monitor.

The device is small, lightweight and disposable, enabling patients to wear it comfortably for an extended time. Its ECG signal quality is superior, facilitating early diagnosis of potentially life threatening heart diseases. It is also designed to be ultralow cost, permitting a much broader use of the Holter in the US and especially emerging markets.
