Tilak Finance surges on getting nod to discontinue NBFC business

Tilak Finance is currently trading at Rs. 48.75, up by 0.45 points or 0.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 48.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 48.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 48.85 and Rs. 47.35 respectively. So far 416830 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'T' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 49.50 on 02-Jan-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5.00 on 04-Jan-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 49.50 and Rs. 47.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 595.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.01% while Non-Institutions held 38.99%. 

Tilak Finance has received an approval whereby it will not continue and carry on NBFC business. The board at its meeting held on January 02, 2012 has discussed and approved for the same.

Recently, the company had received an approval to enter into business transfer agreement with GSR Techno Consultancy to purchase the travel portal business - www.outofcity.com of GSR Techno Consultancy.

Tilak Finance is engaged in finance, investment, consultancy and having interest in power project business which is fast growing and developing.
