Cement major, ACC’s cement production in December 2011 has increased by 6.28% at 2.03 million tonne, as against 1.91 million tonne in the year-ago period. The company's despatches in the month were up by 8.85% at 2.09 million tonne, as against 1.92 million tonne in same month last year.
On Cumulative basis, for the January-December period this year, its production increased 11.55% at 23.66 million tonne as against 21.21 million tonne in the year-ago, while its dispatches for the same period surged 11.85% at 23.68 million tonne as against 21.17 million tonne in the corresponding period of 2010.
ACC is India’s foremost manufacturer of cement and concrete. The company’s operations are spread throughout the country with 14 modern cement factories, more than 30 ready mix concrete plants, 20 sales offices, and several zonal offices.
