The FIIs as per Thursday’s data were net buyers in equities and debt segments both, according to data released by the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
In equity segment, the gross buying was of Rs 1840.30 crore against gross sell of Rs 1583.10 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 257.30 crore in equities on January 5, 2012.
In the debt segment, the gross purchase was of Rs 3246.30 crore with gross sales of Rs 310.10 crore. Thus, FIIs stood as net buyers of Rs 2936.30 crore in debt on January 5, 2012.
