Great Eastern Shipping Company sells its 1989 built Suezmax crude carrier ‘Jag Lakshya'

Great Eastern Shipping Company has sold and delivered its 1989 built Suezmax crude carrier ‘Jag Lakshya' (about 152,000 dwt) to the buyers. With the delivery of this vessel, the company’s current fleet stand at 34 vessels, comprising of 26 tankers (9 crude carriers, 16 products carriers, 1 LPG carriers) and 8 dry bulk carriers (1 capsize, 2 kamsarmax, 3 Suparmax, 1 Handymax) with an average  age of 8.8 years aggregating to 2.55mn dwt.

Recently, the company took delivery of its new building Kamsarmax dry bulk carrier “Jag Aditi”. The Vessel of about 80700 dwt was built at STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, South Korea.

The shipping business includes transportation of crude oil, petroleum products, gas and dry bulk commodities, while the offshore business caters to the oil companies in carrying out offshore exploration and production activities, through its wholly owned subsidiary Greatship (India).
