Suzlon Energy’s step-down wholly owned subsidiary - REpower Systems SE, Germany - has won a 22 MW order whereby the company will deliver eleven turbines to a project in Portugal. The project will contain eight turbines of the REpower MM92 and three of the MM82 type.

All turbines of the wind farm, which will be situated in central Portugal, will have a hub height of 80 meters and a nominal power of 2.05 megawatts (MW). The project is scheduled to be commissioned in Q3 FY13.

Recently, Suzlon Group’s North American subsidiary - Suzlon Wind Energy Corporation, had won the 120 MW order with the sale of 57 Suzlon S97-2.1 megawatt (MW) wind turbines for a large wind energy project located in the western United States.
