Infosys to build campus in Noida with an Rs 1,400 crore investment

Information technology (IT) services major Infosys is planning to invest Rs 1,400 crore in a campus proposed to be built on 28 acres in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. The project is estimated to generate 35,000 direct and indirect jobs.

The company is seeking a floor area ratio (FAR, or the ratio of a building’s total floor area to the size of the land it is built on), of three, against the currently permitted ratio of two for the campus. In the proposed campus, Infosys is aiming to develop eight blocks.

The project will comprise a research and development and software development centre, besides special economic zone components. The company is targeting to complete 40 per cent of the project in the next three years, by when it will begin the core functions of the project.
