Sarda Energy & Minerals’ operations at the iron ore mine of the company which was suspended in December, 2008 due to insurgency have been restored with the help of improved law and order in the area and the company has started receiving iron ore from the mines.
The company has permission to mine 1.5 million tonnes (MT) iron ore per annum. It will take some time to reach the optimum capacity of mining.
Sarda Energy & Minerals is a midsized, integrated steel and ferro alloys producer with diversification plans into power and natural resources. The company is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and selling of pellets, sponge iron, steel billets, wire rods and ferro alloys from its plant located at Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
