HPCL trades with traction on the bourses

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) is currently trading at Rs. 417.40, up by 12.90 points or 3.19% from its previous closing of Rs. 404.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 409.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 418.65 and Rs. 406.10 respectively. So far 171158 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 462.70 on 06-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 158.45 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 422.35 and Rs. 390.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14120.76 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.11% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.05% and 15.84% respectively.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) has reported a net profit of Rs 46.04 crore as compared to a net loss of Rs 1460.48 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. The company’s total income has increased by 14.33% to Rs 59413.66 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 51968.01 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

HPCL operates two major refineries producing a wide variety of petroleum fuels and specialties, one in Mumbai (west coast) of 6.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) capacity and the other in Vishakapatnam, (east coast) with a capacity of 7.5 MMTPA.
