AAP kicks off signature campaign in Delhi demanding fresh elections

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has kicked off a signature campaign in Delhi to demand immediate fresh elections in the capital. Supporters of AAP also gathered on streets today, shouting slogans for polls to be held in Delhi.

AAP leader Manish Sisodia said that this is the demand of the people of Delhi. People want assembly elections to be held, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is delaying the polls for political reasons and added that is why they are organizing signature campaign on behalf of the people demanding that polls be held immediately to elect a government in Delhi. Starting from Patparganj constituency, this campaign will cover all the 70 assembly constituencies during the next two weeks.

Sisodia further said that there are trying to make people understand that only an elected government can solve the problems of inflation, corruption and other problems people face on a day to day basis. Delhi has been under the President's rule since February when the AAP chief, Arvind Kejriwal, resigned from the post of chief minister.
