Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation reports 10% rise in Q1 net profit

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2014.

The company’s net profit rose 10% at Rs 130.54 crore as compared to Rs 118.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 12.14% to Rs 455.41 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 406.11 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

GMDC is engaged in business of mining and mineral processing. The company manufactures two grades of fluorspar namely acid and metallurgical. It owns two bauxite reserve located at Kutch and Jamnagar.
