Titagarh Wagons (TWL) is all set to enter into tractor manufacturing. In this regard, Titagarh Agrico, subsidiary of the company has developed three prototype variants. The company has set up a manufacturing unit for tractors at the Bharatpur plant of Cimmco, another wagon-making subsidiary.
TWL is now in negotiations with engine makers for long-term sourcing contracts. Other supply contracts are also being firmed up. It is planning to make tractors ranging from 39 to 60 HP. It is also in the process of selecting component ancillaries and building a distribution network.
Titagarh Wagons is engaged in the business of manufacturing Railway Wagons, EMU (Rail Coaches), Bailey Bridges, Heavy Earth, Moving and Mining Equipment, Steel and SG iron castings of moderate to complex configuration etc.
