The sixth edition of India Foodex will kick off in Bangalore from August 22, 2014. The three day event will showcase the latest products and technology in the food processing and packaging sectors. The event will also seek to focus on potential sectors such as canning, refrigeration, poultry, ready-to-eat products and high protein products.
About 29 countries have confirmed participation in the event. Countries such as France, China, USA, Holland, Spain, New Zealand, Belgium and Brazil are expected to participate in the event. It is expected that 345 stalls will be there in event with more than 50% participation from overseas players.
The above event holds significance in the context of the new target of the Ministry of Agriculture to double production of all food crops through the National Food Security Mission.
