According to the data released by the NSE, the Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) were net buyers of Rs 834.74 in index futures and options segments, as per Friday’s data, August 22, 2014.
FIIs were buyers of index futures to the tune of Rs 448.55 crore and they bought index options worth Rs 386.19 crore. In the stock segment, FII’s were net buyers of stock futures worth Rs 296.56 crore, while they sold stock options worth Rs 107.09 crore.
