RIL to shut down Hazira manufacturing unit for routine maintenance

Reliance Industries (RIL) has scheduled a planned shut down at its Hazira manufacturing site to carry out routine maintenance and turnaround activities to enhance productivity. The cracker unit will be shut for a period of about four weeks, starting from the last week of September 2014.

RIL’s crackers at other locations will continue at normal levels of operations. With advance planning and inventory management, impact on external sales is likely to be minimal.

Reliance Industries is a Fortune Global 500 company and is the largest private sector company in India. Its activities span exploration and production of oil and gas, petroleum refining and marketing, petrochemicals (polyester, fibre intermediates, plastics and chemicals), textiles, retail, infotel and special economic zones.
