Videocon launches new range of LED Smart TVs

Videocon has launched new range of 4K ultra-high definition (UHD) LED Smart televisions and plans to sell in 100 cities across the country by Diwali. With the new range of 4K UHD LED Smart TVs, Videocon is aiming to increase its market share in the Flat Panel Display (FPD) segment to 20% from the current 16%. The 4K UHD LED, manufactured at Videocon's Arungabad plant, will initially be available in Mumbai, Thane and Pune followed by Delhi, Hyderabad and Chennai.

Besides, pegging its 4K Ultra High Definition Smart TVs at Rs 91,000 (for 40 inches), the company expects its value for money pricing in this segment to beat the multinationals whose products are above Rs 1.5 lakh.

Videocon Industries, established two decades ago, is a global conglomerate. Videocon’s businesses consist of manufacturing, marketing and distribution of consumer electronics products and oil & gas extraction.
