Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut rubbished rumours about cracks emerging in the alliance between his party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Sanjay Raut said that just because the BJP's alliance with Kuldeep Bishnoi in Haryana has collapsed, it doesn't hold true in the case with Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. They have been in alliance for the last 25 years based on 'Hindutva'. They do not want any division of Hindu votes. The Congress should not get power either in state or at the national level; that is why there are together.

Raut further added that the alliance has been formed based on principles and policies, rumours that their alliance will collapse just because of two or four seats will prove wrong as there alliance will emerge stronger in the coming days. Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) leader Kuldeep Bishnoi had earlier announced the snapping of ties with the BJP alleging betrayal by the latter as the reason for ending its three-year-old alliance.
