Bharti Airtel likely to ink $1 billion telecom tower deal in Nigeria this month

Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 20 countries across Asia and Africa, is likely to reach an agreement on the sale of its telecom towers in Nigeria for more than $1 billion within the next 3 weeks. Talks are in advanced stages with American Tower Company (ATC), HIS Towers, etc. Once the sale goes through, the company would have successfully sold almost half its towers in Africa.

Earlier, the company has sold 3,100 telecom towers to Helios Towers for $800 million in the continent.
