India-China border disputes must be resolved soon: Narendra Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he flagged the Chumar incursion in his talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping in New Delhi, saying the two countries will find ways to resolve the longstanding border dispute. Modi in his statement to the press at Hyderabad House, where he held the delegation-level talks with Jinping, in the national capital said, 'Both countries want peace at borders' and added that he has expressed concern over what happened on the borders and said that they need to solve the issue.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said that he had 'fruitful talks' with Modi, and said the two nations share common goals. The China-India boundary issue is a leftover of history. They will settle the dispute together and he also invited Modi to China early next year.
