Sharda Cropchem surges as HDFC Mutual Fund buys stake

Sharda Cropchem is currently trading at Rs. 261.10, up by 9.45 points or 3.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 251.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 259.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 268.80 and Rs. 254.00 respectively. So far 19,32,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 273.85 on 23-September-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 217.60 on 24-Sept-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 273.85 and Rs. 217.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2,361.97 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.15% and 13.85% respectively.

HDFC Mutual Fund (MF) has bought nearly one million shares of Sharda Cropchem from the open market. The MF house has bought 970,000 shares representing 1.08% stake in Sharda Cropchem at Rs 241.64 per share.

Sharda Cropchem is a crop protection chemical company engaged in the marketing and distribution of a wide range of formulations and generic active ingredients globally. It is also involved in order based procurement and supply of Belts, general chemicals, dyes and dye intermediates.
