Credit rating agency, ICRA has downgraded the long-term rating outstanding on the Rs 145.25 crore term loans of Agro Dutch Industries (ADIL) from LC to LD. The rating agency has also downgraded the short-term rating outstanding on the Rs 25 crore short-term loans, Rs 135.25 crore fund based limits and Rs 20.50 crore non-fund based limits from A4 to A5.
The revision in ratings reflects the continued deterioration in the financial performance of the company owing to the significant drop in demand for mushrooms globally and the corresponding decline in prices, which has led to the company reporting losses in the last three years.
Agro Dutch Industries is the largest integrated mushroom company in the world. It was the first large company to bring the concept of integrated, year-round, climate controlled mushroom production to India, with complete traceability.
