Reliance Industries’ arm opens cash & carry store in Salem

Reliance Retail (RRL), a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, has opened its cash & carry store ‘Reliance Market’ in Salem, the fourth store it has opened in Tamil Nadu. The store has also been established in the Reliance Mega Mall in Meyyanur in Salem.

The newly opened Reliance Market would cater to the needs of not only the small businesses in Salem but also traders and business establishments, including hotels, in nearby areas. Established over a 45,000 sq.ft area, the store seeks to offer more than 8,500 products, with a significant portion of them sourced locally.

The store would stock products ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables to groceries, detergents and toiletries, footwear and electronic goods. More than 30,000 business partner members have been enrolled.

Reliance Retail (RRL) has grown into an organisation that caters to millions of customers, thousands of farmers and vendors. Based on its core growth strategy of backward integration, RRL has made rapid progress towards building an entire value chain starting from the farmers to the end consumers.
