Suzlon in demand as its subsidiary bags 20.5 MW UK order

Suzlon Energy is currently trading at Rs 21.50, up by 0.85 points or 4.12% from its previous closing of Rs 20.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 20.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs 21.75 and Rs 20.80 respectively. So far 1989433 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 58.45 on 21-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 17.25 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 21.75 and Rs 17.75 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3821.34 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.84% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 16.67% and 28.33% respectively. 

Suzlon Group’s subsidiary - REpower Systems SE, has signed a contract to supply 10 wind turbines to Bradwell wind farm, developed by RWE npower renewables. The wind farm, located to the south of Bradwell-On-Sea in Essex, will consist of REpower MM82 machines.

The turbines at Bradwell, with a rated output of 2.05 MW each, will generate enough electricity to power the equivalent of nearly 12,000 homes annually.

Installation of the wind turbines will start in the latter half of 2012 and is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
