Physical rubber prices improve on covering purchase

Physical rubber prices improved on Saturday after declining in the previous session. The traders went for some covering purchase at lower levels that helped the markets improve on the last trading day of the week, though the futures market remained closed on Saturday on account of Uttarayan, were unable to give any cues.

Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed at Rs 187.50/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 187/kg, while the RSS-5 variety closed at Rs 182/kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 181/kg.
