Steel Authority of India (SAIL) has reported results for second quarter ended September 30, 2014.
The company has registered 44.97% fall in its net profit at Rs 649.49 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1180.39 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased marginally by 1.30% at Rs 11840.64 crore for Q2FY15 as compared Rs 11688.22 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
SAIL is India's largest steel producing company. The company is among the five Maharatnas of the country's Central Public Sector Enterprises. The company has five integrated steel plants, three special plants, and one subsidiary in different parts of the country.
