Infosys gains as FIIs raise stake

Infosys is currently trading at Rs. 4195.50, up by 15.75 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 4179.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4182.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4205.00 and Rs. 4182.00 respectively. So far 3364 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4225.00 on 18-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 2894.00 on 30-May-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 4225.00 and Rs. 4111.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 240016.36 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 15.92% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 57.15% and 11.93% respectively.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have increased their holdings in Infosys to a nine and half-year high of nearly 42.67 percent during the quarter ended September 2014. Cumulative FII holdings in the company rose to 42.67 per cent in the July-September quarter this year from 39.93 per cent in three months ended September last year.

This is the highest level of FII holding in the country’s second largest software services firm since March 2005, when their stake in Infosys stood at 42.87 per cent. In the April-June quarter of 2014, FIIs’ holding in Infosys stood at 41.58 percent.
