TV Today Network trades jubilantly as Derive Investments acquires stake

TV Today Network is currently trading at Rs. 213.10, up by 12.90 points or 6.44% from its previous closing of Rs. 200.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 219.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 220.70 and Rs. 211.15 respectively. So far 287242 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 259.00 on 07-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 96.05 on 30-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 220.70 and Rs. 185.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1276.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.49% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.01% and 38.50% respectively.

Derive Investments, an investment company run by Radhakishan Damani has bought 1.3 million shares representing 2.18% stake in TV Today Network at Rs 196 on the BSE. However, Reliance Capital has sold part or 1.51 million shares of the company at Rs 196.07 on BSE. As of September 30, 2014, Reliance Capital held 2.77 million or 4.64% stake in the company.

TV Today Network (TVTN) operates news channels and is promoted by Living Media India (LMIL). The latter had been conducting news broadcasting business through one of its divisions, 'TV Today Division' since 1994. TV Today Division has now been transferred to TVTN. It runs 24 hours news & current affairs channels, namely, 'Aaj Tak', ‘Tez’ and ‘Delli Aaj Tak’ in Hindi and 'Headlines Today' in English.
