Physical Rubber prices made a mixed closing on Monday

Rubber prices showed a mixed trend on Monday, as trade remained cautious with a drop in prices in global trendsetting market. Spot prices for RSS-4 variety closed lower at Rs 117/ kg compared to its previous closing of Rs 117.50/kg; while RSS-5 variety closed modestly higher at Rs 114/kg compared to its previous close of Rs 113.50/ kg.

In the futures market, contract of December delivery weakened to Rs 115.14 compared to its previous close of Rs 116.24, while January delivery closed at Rs 116.20 compared to its previous closing of Rs 117.26 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
