Welspun India’s business arm - Welspun Energy (WEL), has ventured into the solar rooftop segment by commissioning three projects. The projects have been set up to meet the captive power needs of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur, Ansal University and Medanta Medicity Hospital.
Meanwhile, Energy generated will help lower their thermal energy consumption, thereby reducing operating expenses.
