HDFC gains as its insurance JV enters into tie up with Deutsche Bank

Housing Development Finance Corporation is currently trading at Rs. 1118.05, up by 3.65 points or 0.33% from its previous closing of Rs. 1114.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1110.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1129.00 and Rs. 1110.00 respectively. So far 14707 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1177.00 on 28-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 755.60 on 14-Feb-2014.

Housing Development Finance Corporation’s (HDFC) insurance joint venture - HDFC Ergo General Insurance, has entered into a distribution agreement with Deutsche Bank.  As per the agreement, the bank will distribute HDFC Ergo's non-life insurance products through its 17 branches spread across 16 Indian cities.

HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company is a 74:26 joint venture (JV) between HDFC and ERGO International AG, the primary insurance entity of Munich Re Group. HDFC ERGO offers complete range of general insurance products ranging from Motor, Health, Travel, Home and Personal Accident in the retail space and customized products like Property, Marine and Liability Insurance in the corporate space.
