HDFC trades in fine fettle in early deals on BSE

Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC) is currently trading at Rs. 1090.00, up by 1.85 points or 0.17 % from its previous closing of Rs. 1088.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1085.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1098.65 and Rs. 1085.00 respectively. So far 10570 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A ' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1177.00 on 28-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 755.60 on 14-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1127.65 and Rs. 1061.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 171345.76 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 88.17 % while Non-Institutions held 11.83% of the stake.

Housing Development Finance Corporation’s (HDFC) insurance joint venture - HDFC Ergo General Insurance, has entered into a distribution agreement with Deutsche Bank.  As per the agreement, the bank will distribute HDFC Ergo's non-life insurance products through its 17 branches spread across 16 Indian cities.

HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company is a 74:26 joint venture (JV) between HDFC and ERGO International AG, the primary insurance entity of Munich Re Group. HDFC ERGO offers complete range of general insurance products ranging from Motor, Health, Travel, Home and Personal Accident in the retail space and customized products like Property, Marine and Liability Insurance in the corporate space.
