Granules India in jubilant mood on reporting decent Q3 cons net profit

Granules India is currently trading at Rs 73.30, up by 7.50 points or 11.40% from its previous closing of Rs 65.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 70.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs 75.00 and Rs 70.05 respectively. So far 16191 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 102.90 on 07-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 55.00 on 12-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 75.00 and Rs 64.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 147.05 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.69% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 1.62% and 55.17% respectively. 

Granules India has reported net profit decline of 4.94%, to Rs 5.96 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared with Rs 6.27 crore in the year-ago period. Net sales grew 41.20% to Rs 155.56 crore in the quarter under review as compared with Rs 110.17 crore in the same quarter last year.

The company’s consolidated net profit increased 41.92%, to Rs 7.99 crore in the third quarter ended December 31, 2011 compared with Rs 5.63 crore in the year-ago period. Net sales grew 45% to Rs 185.72 crore in the quarter under review as compared with Rs 128 crore in the same quarter last year.
