National Fertilisers to invest Rs 72 cr on wind energy

National Fertilisers will invest Rs 72 crore to develop a 14.7-MW wind energy project in Rajasthan for commercial use. This will be completed by the end of September.

National Fertilisers is the second largest producer of nitrogenous fertilisers in the country with a 16.8% of domestic urea production during FY09. National Fertilisers, which has two manufacturing plants in Punjab and one each in Madhya Pradesh and Haryana, plans to connect the wind power project with the national grid for commercial purposes.
