Future & Option (F&O) total turnover stood at Rs 58,534.37 crore on January 1 and the total number of contracts traded on the day were 24,20,456.
Of the total turnover, Index Futures contributed Rs 5,432.16 crore, Stock Futures Rs 11,550.93 crore and Index Options Rs 37,541.61 crore, while the contribution of the Stock Options was of Rs 4,009.68 crore.
For the day, the total F&O PutCall ratio stood 0.93, while Index Options PutCall ratio was 0.99 and that of Stock Options was 0.39.
The top five scrips with highest PCR on OI were DLF (1.02), Century Textiles & Industries (1.02), Bajaj Auto (1.00), Indusind Bank (1.00), and maruti Suzuki (0.99).
Among most active underlying, State Bank of India witnessed an addition of 0.36 million of Open Interest in the January month futures contract, followed by Andhra Bank witnessing an addition of 1.90 million of Open Interest in the January month contract; Tata Steel witnessed a contraction of 0.49 million of Open Interest in the January month contract, Infosys witnessed a contraction of 0.07 million of Open Interest in the January month contract and Exide Industries witnessed an addition of 0.61 million of Open Interest in the January month's future contract.
