IOC to start commissioning of Paradip refinery from first quarter of 2015

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) is all set to start commissioning of its long-delayed Rs 34,500 crore Paradip refinery from the first quarter of 2015. Paradip refinery was originally to be built by April 2012 but has faced delays because of law and order problem.

The 11th refinery of IOC was to cost Rs 29,777 crore but the delays have now taken the cost to Rs 34,500 crore. In line with the Auto Fuel Policy, IOC refineries will switch to 100 percent BS-IV fuels production to meet timelines.

IOC is the largest enterprise in the country and the foremost ranked Fortune Global 500 Company in India and has presence in the complete hydrocarbon value chain from downstream refining & marketing, pipeline transportation, Petrochemicals, E&P and Gas Marketing.
