BPCL rises as FIIs hike stake to 15.20% in December quarter

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) is currently trading at Rs. 678.70, up by 1.35 points or 0.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 677.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 682.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 684.40 and Rs. 672.60 respectively. So far 25515 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 784.50 on 28-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 316.00 on 09-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 688.30 and Rs. 630.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49169.73 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 54.93% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.16% and 15.90% respectively.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have raised their stake in Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) for the fourth straight quarter ended December 31, 2014. The overseas investors have hiked their holdings by 2.6 percentage points to 15.20% in December quarter from 12.57% as on September 30, 2014. They held 10.14% stake in the company at the end of December 2013 quarter. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have reduced their stake in the company to 13.96% from 15.78% as on September 30, 2014.

BPCL is into exploration, production and retailing of petroleum and petrol related products. The retail business unit of BPCL is into marketing of petrol, diesel and kerosene.
