Gujarat Fluorochemicals jumps on posting stellar Q3 numbers

Gujarat Fluorochemicals is currently trading at Rs. 502.00, up by 17.10 points or 3.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 484.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 503.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 513.65 and Rs. 498.75 respectively. So far 30,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 561.00 on 24-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 231.50 on 10-Feb-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 513.65 and Rs. 420.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 5,514.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.03% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.48% and 22.49% respectively.

The company has posted a surge of 550.76% in its net profit of Rs 218.98 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 33.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 146.56% from Rs 240.27 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 592.42 crore in the quarter under review.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals, part of the $2 billion INOX group of companies, is engaged in manufacturing of chloro-fluorocarbon refrigerant gases and hydrous hydrofluoric acid. The INOX group has interests in areas of industrial gases, refrigerants, chemicals, carbon credits, cryogenic engineering, renewable energy and entertainment.
