NMDC inks pact with L&T worth Rs 356.85 crore

NMDC and Larsen & Toubro (L&T) have signed Rs 356.85 crore contract for constructing a reservoir as well as a water treatment plant and distribution network for the company’s upcoming steel plant at Nagarnar in Chhattishgarh.

The public sector miner also signed a separate contract for a value of Rs 314.58 crore with a consortium of Megha Engineering and Infrastructure for construction of an intake well on river Sabari and a cross country pipeline of a length of 34 km for the steel project. All the awarded works in respect of the 3 million tonne- integrated steel plant were being taken up on a war footing.

NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
