Gujarat Mineral Development reports 11% rise in Q3 net profit

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The company has posted a rise of 10.82% in its net profit of Rs 112.46 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 101.48 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 11.30% from Rs 366.32 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 407.70 crore in the quarter under review.

GMDC is engaged in business of mining and mineral processing. The company manufactures two grades of fluorspar namely acid and metallurgical. It owns two bauxite reserve located at Kutch and Jamnagar.
