Gujarat Fluorochemicals spurts on bagging two projects from TPREL

Gujarat Fluorochemicals is currently trading at Rs. 731.90, up by 8.05 points or 1.11 % from its previous closing of Rs. 723.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 734.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 745.00 and Rs. 730.10 respectively. So far 1047 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 817.00 on 05-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 222.00 on 26-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 761.80 and Rs. 709.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8039.92 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.91 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.11 % and 24.98 % respectively.

Inox Wind, a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals, has been awarded two wind farm project contracts of 54 MW and 118 MW in Gujarat and Rajasthan, respectively by Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL). TPREL is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power.

Inox will supply, erect and commission 86 units of its two-MW wind turbine generators. The Gujarat project, near Rojmal village of Bhavnagar district, is to be completed by June 2015, while the Rajasthan project, which is close to Dangri village of Jaisalmer district, by March 2016. Inox is responsible for site acquisition to commissioning, besides long-term operation and maintenance of the projects.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals, part of the $2 billion INOX group of companies, is engaged in manufacturing of chloro-fluorocarbon refrigerant gases and hydrous hydrofluoric acid. The INOX group has interests in areas of industrial gases, refrigerants, chemicals, carbon credits, cryogenic engineering, renewable energy and entertainment.
