Lupin surges on getting CCEA’s nod for its proposal to raise FII limit

Lupin is currently trading at Rs. 1576.85, up by 21.50 points or 1.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 1555.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1561.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1580.00 and Rs. 1546.35 respectively. So far 90978 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1580.00 on 30-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 855.00 on 30-Jan-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1580.00 and Rs. 1473.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 70165.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.66% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 42.51% and 10.83% respectively.

The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has approved pharmaceutical major Lupin’s proposal to raise the foreign institutional investment limit to 49% from 33%. With this, the company is expected to attract Rs 6,099 crore.
