Essar Oil trades higher on the bourses

Essar Oil is currently trading at Rs. 113.75, up by 1.85 points or 1.65% from its previous closing of Rs. 111.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 112.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 115.00 and Rs. 112.95 respectively. So far 32668 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 132.50 on 10-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 44.60 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 118.80 and Rs. 108.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 16510.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 24.90% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.28% and 6.18% respectively.

Essar Oil has reportedly sold a rare jet fuel cargo for export in February. The company sold 37,000 tonnes of the aviation fuel for February 11 to 15 loading from Vadinar, its first such cargo since September, 2013. The cargo was likely sold to BP at a premium of 50 cents a barrel to Middle East quotes.

The refiner usually exports gasoil and usually sells the jet fuel it refines to local customers. Moreover, the company is looking to optimise its production and has an extra cargo available.
