Jeera futures traded down on NCDEX due to sluggish local demand and expectations of a rise in supplies from the new season crop. Moreover, amid adequate stock positions mainly pulled down jeera prices at the futures trade.
The contract for February delivery was trading at Rs 14745.00, down by 0.47% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 14815.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 12675.00 lots.
The contract for March delivery was trading at Rs 15030.00, down by 0.46% or Rs 70.00 from its previous closing of Rs 15100.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 10668.00 lots on NCDEX.
