Gujarat Pipavav Port surges on reporting 16% rise in Q3 net profit

Gujarat Pipavav Port is currently trading at Rs. 215.00, up by 8.15 points or 3.94% from its previous closing of Rs. 206.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 208.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 216.90 and Rs. 204.35 respectively. So far 431065 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 236.80 on 02-Jan-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.50 on 04-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 231.70 and Rs. 202.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10234.42 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 43.01% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.46 % and 8.53 % respectively.

Gujarat Pipavav Port has registered a rise of 15.90% in its net profit at Rs 89.32 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 77.06 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased 25.56% at Rs 189.61 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 151.01 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Gujarat Pipavav Port is the developer and operator of APM Terminals Pipavav, India's first private sector port, which has multi-cargo and multi-user operations.
