Gujarat Fluorochemicals surges as its arm bags contracts for wind power projects

Gujarat Fluorochemicals is currently trading at Rs. 756.00, up by 7.55 points or 1.01% from its previous closing of Rs. 748.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 753.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 760.00 and Rs. 753.80 respectively. So far 636 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 817.00 on 05-Nov-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 222.00 on 26-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 800.75 and Rs. 741.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8323.33 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.91% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.11% and 24.98% respectively.

Inox Wind, a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals, has bagged contracts for wind power projects totalling 166 MW from Green Infra (GIL). Inox will supply 83 units of 2 MW wind generators and will also be responsible for development and construction of these projects on a turnkey basis, besides operation and maintenance.

Gujarat Fluorochemicals, part of the $2 billion INOX group of companies, is engaged in manufacturing of chloro-fluorocarbon refrigerant gases and hydrous hydrofluoric acid. The INOX group has interests in areas of industrial gases, refrigerants, chemicals, carbon credits, cryogenic engineering, renewable energy and entertainment.
